Tests staff members at a transfer stage

Not mastering foreign languages can be problematic for personal career development and prevent certain employees from taking jobs overseas.

Testing language skills on a regular basis can allow the company to anticipate how much training is required beforehand.

A typical example:

You need to provide language training for a financial director so that he/she can work in your French subsidiary. The person needs to be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Conduct meetings in French on a daily basis with colleagues
  • Manage telephone conversations in French
  • Send e-mails.
  • Be able to speak French in everyday life.

With the help of the «Bright Reference Guide» you can easily define the level required to perform these tasks successfully.

The minimum level required is 3.5 on the oral test and a 3.0 on the written test.  The director’s Bright test score is 2.5, therefore he/she would require between 80 and 100 hours of language training to attain the required level.
